New braking system to reduce whiplash injuries
The new braking system, known as The Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system uses numerous technologies such as lasers, cameras and radar to automatically stop vehicles when they are in danger of hitting a pedestraian.
The tests conducted show that if these systems were introduced to all production models they could help to prevent over 650 serious injuries and around 54 fatalaities in the UK every year.
Thatcham also claim that the most common vehicle crash, the rear end shunt, would also be prevented, stopping over 150,000 whiplash injuries per year.
As many people in the UK will have realised, most insurances have increased recently. These increases, along with the financial climate, have been put down to the amount of personal injury claims, such as whiplash, increasing over recent years.
Car insurance and even van insurance in Cheshire has increased like many other areas. Here at CRS Consultants we try to work with our panel of insures to find our clients the best policy for the right price. Why not give us a call on 01606 48521 and see how much we can save you?
